Spa Start Up Procedure

  • Clean your new spa using Natural Chemistry Clean & Perfect, easily found in the Family Leisure store.
  • Polish the surfaces of your new spa, using Leisure Time Spa Fast Gloss, easily found in the Family Leisure store.
  • Fill your new spa with water.
  • Family Leisure recommends never using a water softener on the water in your spa.
  • Have your electrician connect your spa. Only use a licensed electrician.
  • Turn on your new spa, and let the water warm up to 85° Fahrenheit.
  • Test water for pH and total alkalinity. In areas where hard water is a problem, test for calcium hardness.
  • To help prevent stains from metals present in your water, add SwimClear Metal Control, easily found in the Family Leisure store.
  • To help prevent scale from forming in and on your new spa use SwimClear Stain & Scale Prevent, easily found in the Family Leisure store.
  • After initial start-up, consult owner’s manual or contact Family Leisure directly for additional information on your new spa

WARNING!
To avoid freeze damage, NEVER fill your spa when temperature will be below 35 degrees during the next 24 hours.
