- Pour half of the bottle through the skimmer.
- The PHOSfree will gather the phosphates in the cartridge or sand.
- When pressure builds, you will then clean the cartridge or backwash the sand.
- There is no way to know how long this process will take; you will have to watch the water flow coming out of the return of your pool.
- You will repeat the other half of the PHOSfree anywhere from 2 to 6 days depending on the amount of phosphates.
- If you would like, bring your water back in 2 weeks from the initial treatment, and we will be happy to retest for phosphates.
