Concrete slab should be at least 4\u201d thick and wood decks should be built to local codes to support spa weight loads. If indoors, have proper ventilation and are designed to handle water spillage and access to equipment pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u2022 Elderly persons, pregnant women, and those who have: heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure should not use a spa without medical consultation from their doctor.<br>\u2022 Children should only use a spa with adult supervision.<br>\u2022 Children under 6 years of age should NOT use a spa.<br>\u2022 A spa should not be used by an unaccompanied bather.<br>\u2022 Do not use a spa while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics, tranquilizers, or anything that would impair your over all safety or judgement.<br>\u2022 Always check your water temperature before entering a spa. The maximum temperature allowed is 104\u00b0 Fahrenheit, or 40\u00b0 Celsius.<br>\u2022 Do NOT soak for longer than 15 minutes in 104\u00b0 water. Long exposure times may lead to nausea, dizziness, and fainting. <br>\u2022 Never put your head underwater while in a spa.<br>\u2022 Cover the spa when it is not in use. (only use covers recommended by the manufacturer)<br>\u2022 Check all local ordinances concerning spa installation. Have required permits and utility clearances before installation.<br>\u2022 Do not use electrical appliances while near or in a spa.<br>\u2022 Always use a ground fault circuit interrupter. (GFCI)<br>\u2022 Use only a licensed electrician for electrical work.<br>\u2022 Read and follow all chemical directions carefully. Failure to do this may result in damage to the spa or yourself.<br>\u2022 Store all chemicals in a safe place away from children and pets.<br>\u2022 Carefully read the manufacturer\u2019s directions and warnings before using or operating a spa.<br>\u2022 Never use a spa with the cover half off. Completely remove the cover before use.<br><strong>\u2022 In case of emergency.
