When a liner is<br>emptied of water, it starts to shrink and will not stretch back into place again like it did on installation. This will<br>cause it to tear, pull off of the wall, or pull down the wall. Liners should never be drained below a foot of water. The<br>amount of backfill up against the pool wall should also be considered when contemplating draining a pool. The<br>water should never be lower than the backfill level.
